BIO FOR INTRODUCTION

Dr. Law is a physician, public health specialist, and health emergency and disaster risk management champion. He is Medical Officer V, Chief of Preparedness Division, Health Emergency Management Bureau of the Department of Health.
Responsible for policy development, program management, capacity building and research on disaster risk reduction and management for health (DRRM-H) to ensure resilience of health sector. Part of response to major emergencies and disasters. Worked for the DOH for almost 10 years.

Medical degree from the University of the East – Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Master of Public health (MPH) from University of the Philippines-Manila, Fellowship on Public Health Emergency Management from Griffith University, Australia, health emergency trainings and exposures locally and abroad (United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Israel, Japan, Singapore, China)
Worked for 6 years in the private sector for health corporations in different capacities as medical specialist, administrator and operations manager.
Professor and lecturer of Public Health in UP-Manila, UERM Memorial Medical Center and Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health
Published and contributed to the development of technical products such as books, journals and articles in relation to health emergency and disaster risk management.
Member of WHO Thematic Platform for Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management.
Happily married with 3 kids.
