Fevi Rose C. Paro is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning at the College of Human Ecology, University of the Philippines Los Baῆos. She handles undergraduate courses in human settlements planning, human ecology, and environmental health. She obtained her MS Public Health (Environmental Health) and BS Human Ecology (Human Settlements Planning) both from the University of the Philippines. She has been involved in research and extension projects on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Comprehensive Land Use Planning, Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment, Women Economic Empowerment and Leadership, and Community Development particularly in the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in the Philippines. She will pursue PhD in Public Health – Environmental Health at the University of Florida and intends to integrate public health in the field of human settlements planning to promote healthier, safer cities and communities.
