Jonnel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by profession and has completed a University Degree in Accounting, with Magna Cum Laude honors; and a holder of Master’s Degree in Business Administration, graduated With High Distinction. He has more than seven years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting and auditing in various sectors of the CPA professional practice: Commerce and Industry, Government (audit) and in the Academe. Currently, he is a State Auditor at the Philippine Commission on Audit (COA), the country’s Supreme Audit Institution (SAI). He has an extensive experience in the audit of accounts, transactions and operations of various government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) performing public utility functions. Jonnel is currently assigned as the Audit Team Leader of the National Power Corporation.
