Hyacinth Balediata Bangero

HYACINTH BALEDIATA BANGERO is an Assistant Professor in the AB Communication program of the University of San Agustin in Iloilo. She's also the appointed Assistant Director of the said academic institution's Philanthropic, External, and Alumni Relations. Bangero earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at West Visayas State University -- Bachelor in Broadcasting and Masters in Mass Communication. She is among the guest lecturers of West Visayas State University before commencing the scholarship grant. Prior to dedicating her life to the academe, she served as an Associate Producer for two programs on a mainstream television network in the Philippines. This young communication educator is among Western Visayas' emerging digital media education leaders. Bangero founded AB Comm Film Festival at the University of San Agustin. During her close to a six-year stint at San Agustin, she produced more than 40 videos, not to include the live-streamed videos on the University's social media page, which she grew by 770%. She is hopeful that through the CHED-Fulbright Ph.D. program, she will experience the American education curriculum, which is at par with the global standard, so she can help improve the country's communication education curriculum, especially in terms of emerging and digital media.
