Andrea Leycano

Andrea is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law and a licensed lawyer in the Philippines.  She spent the past twelve years directly working on myriad international law and international relations issues, including treaty negotiations, and consular and diplomatic procedures as a Filipino Foreign Service Officer.  She previously served as the Philippine Second Secretary and Consul in Tokyo, Japan.  She will study Comparative International Law in the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, intake Fall 2022- Spring 2023 under the Fulbright Foreign Student Programme.  Upon her return, she will resume her career in the Foreign Service, and will continue to specialize on working within the international legal system on matters specifically relating to human rights.
