Jean Encinas-Franco is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science in UP Diliman where she teaches courses on Feminist International Relations and Qualitative Research Methods. Her work focuses on gender and its intersection with labor migration and politics. She has published in peer-reviewed academic journals on women migrant workers, gendered constructions of migrant workers, the politics of language in labor export, and discursive origins of migrant 'heroism.'
