Leslie L. Pastoril is an English educator and emerging scholar committed to advancing culturally responsive language teaching. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from the University of Southeastern Philippines in 2018, where she also completed her master's degree in education.
She is currently a Doctor of Philosophy in Education candidate, specializing in English Language Teaching, and is completing her dissertation on international glocalized approaches in ESL and EFL contexts. Since 2019, she has served as a secondary school English teacher in the Department of Education, consistently demonstrating excellence in instruction and leadership. Her professional engagements include serving as a national press conference-winning coach, a facilitator for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), and a Region XI teacher-broadcaster for "Dunong Agila" during the implementation of the Alternative Delivery Mode amid the 2020 pandemic.
Grounded in research and practice, she aspires to become a curriculum developer who designs culturally responsive and evidence-based learning materials. She also envisions herself as a teacher-trainer and mentor, empowering fellow educators to cultivate effective and transformative English language teaching practices.
