Patrick Quinn R. Yan is a student researcher and youth leader passionate about the intersection of science, sustainability, and social impact. He has led and participated in projects addressing environmental conservation, food waste reduction, and community development, while also serving in leadership roles within youth and student organizations. Believing that scientific innovation is most effective when paired with an understanding of people and communities, Patrick is particularly interested in bridging the sciences and humanities to create meaningful change.

Most notably, he has represented the Philippines in international youth engagements and collaborated with students from around the world on initiatives promoting sustainability and cross-cultural understanding. Beyond research and leadership, Patrick is actively involved in community service, advocacy, and educational initiatives. In his free time, he enjoys singing with choral groups, playing video games such as Minecraft, trying out new restaurants and cafés with family and friends, and spending time exploring interests both within and beyond the science.
