Sil Vennxae O. Necesito is an incoming freshman in the Life Sciences & Management (LSM) Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where he hopes to pursue the intersection of medicine, healthcare innovation, and entrepreneurship. A passionate advocate for STEM education and science communication, he served as Editor-in-Chief of his school's nationally awarded Filipino science publication and founded a non-profit that expanded access to science learning for young students in underserved communities in Sultan Kudarat. In recognition of his academic excellence, leadership, and service, he was named the Most Outstanding High School Graduate of Davao City.

Driven by a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in the Philippines, Sil is particularly interested in advancing pediatric oncology and addressing disparities in cancer care. His experiences working with children with cancer through community initiatives at the House of Hope within the Southern Philippines Medical Center have deepened his desire to contribute to the field and support vulnerable patients and their families. Through his involvement in international programs such as Yale Young Global Scholars, leadership roles, and community centered projects, he hopes to leverage science, business, and innovation to help build a more accessible and equitable healthcare system for future generations.
