Professor Valentin C. Dones III, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Santo Tomas and serves as Director of the JBI Philippines - Center for Health Research and Movement Science. He is also a Clinical Data Analyst at St. Luke's Medical Center, where he contributes to quality improvement and evidence-based healthcare initiatives. He is a recipient of the 2024 Australia Grants Award. Recognized nationally for his contributions to the profession, he was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Physical Therapist of the Year by the Professional Regulation Commission of the Philippines and the 2023 DOST-PCHRD Outstanding Research Mentor Award for the National Capital Region.

He specializes in evidence-based healthcare, rehabilitation science, systematic reviews, and clinical research implementation. Dr. Dones completed his Ph.D. at the University of South Australia and trained in evidence synthesis through JBI, Adelaide University. He actively mentors researchers, clinicians and graduate students in the Philippines and around the world in the areas of evidence synthesis, implementation science, and healthcare innovation. His work focuses on bridging research, clinical practice, and policy development to improve healthcare outcomes and rehabilitation services.
